  WITCH CONFESSION

In the October 12, 1983 edition of the Birmingham News, a malemale-witch witch publicly, “Halloween is one of our highest Sabbaths.” Although some Christians do not take witches, demons, pranks and spells seriously, they participate in the celebration of this day; Halloween is a day that commemorates demonic and diabolical activities with which the Church has been at war since its beginning. Demetrics Roscoe, Pastor of Living Church Ministries International in Birmingham, Alabama has researched and compiled a study of the origin of Halloween and is making this information available to you, the Christian family.

DRUIDS (The primary feature of Celtic paganism was polytheism)

driudDruid (droo’id) n. A member of an order of priests in ancient Gaul and Britain who appear in Welsh and Irish legends as prophets and sorcerers. Polytheism is the worship of many gods. The observance of Halloween was originated by the Druids as a day of worship to their god, Samhain, Lord of the Dead. The Druids were mystic priests who believed in reincarnation and practiced human sacrifices.

Black cats were considered reincarnated beings with an ability to divine the future, by looking into a bowl of water, or a Crystal Ball. On Halloween night, the Druids went from castle to castle demanding a trick or a treat. The treat would be a woman for a human sacrifice. If the treat pleased the Druids, they would leave a jack-o’-lantern with a lighted candle made of human fat to protect the victim’s relatives. If the sacrifice was not pleasing to the Druids, it was time for a trick.

THE PENTAGRAM

Black Mass

A Pentagram, the most powerful and evil sign in the occult world, was drawn on the front door of that family. During the night, demon spirits would terrorize the home and cause death through fear. Around 98-180 A.D., the Druid practices were outlawed. They went underground and have been secretly active all this time. Note: The primary objective was to control the victim’s will by the use of fear. When today’s trick-or-treaters threaten to cause harm because a treat is not given, they are emulating this ancient occult practice.

CEREMONIES

Mystic forest and Silhouette of a SatanistOne of the Druid ceremonies now being practiced throughout the years is the continual commemoration of Halloween by other names. These secrets were revealed by Jon Todd, an ex-grand Druid Priest. Emperor Phocas captured Rome and gave the Pantheon (a temple of worship by the pagans to goddess Cybele) to Pope Boniface IV in 1609. He reconstructed it to the Virgin Mary as a temple to pray for the dead. We will discuss other pagan practices and ceremonies.

The Scriptures let us know that there is no second chance as “It is appointed unto men once to die and after that judgement.” Therefore, no amount of prayer, regardless of the intent can reverse the decision made on earth by the person’s life. In 834 A.D. Gregory IV extended the feast for all the church and it became “Christianized” and known as All Saints’ Day.

ABOMINATION

Webster New Collegiate Dictionary defines Halloween as the “evening preceding All Saint’s Day”. The pagans believed that the souls of the dead returned to their former homes on this night to be entertained by the living; therefore they would prepare food and shelter for the restless spirits. This was done in fear that if they did not appease the souls of the dead, the spirits would cause terror by destruction of crops, death of livestock, and the horror of the kidnapping of infants.

Fotolia_69594283_XSIn actuality, the pagans had summoned demon spirits impersonating the dead saints. This is necromancy. Necromancy is an abomination to God (Deut. 18:9-11).

Children disguising themselves today as dead saints receiving food items as a “treat” are reenactments of this ancient practice. If the Spirit of God dwells in us, why are we as His people representing ourselves as an abomination towards God?

GROTESQUE IMITATIONS

As Christianity spread over Europe and the British Isles, it attempted to replace the preexisting pagan cult worship of Appollo, Diana, or Ymir, but to no avail. Although the outward forms of such worship disappeared, the belief in these deities did not. Pagan worship found an outlet duri9ng the Middle Ages in the open practice of witchcraft which is presently enjoying a revival in many countries, including the United States. In Germany, the occult is considered more prevalent now than in the Middle Ages.

Satan worshippers gathered together on this night to mock Catholicism Mass by unholy masses of their own. Much of the Catholic ritual was a grotesque imitation with the intent to ridicule Christian beliefs. For example, Satan worshippers would say the Lord’s Prayer backwards.

BIBLICAL TRUTHS

Webster Dictionary and the American Heritage Dictionary define hallow as holy, consecrated and honored. With characters such as bats, ghosts, skeletons, witches and black cats, we know that the entity being reverenced is not that of our Heavenly Father. Halloween night represents all types of mischief and violence. There have been reports of razor blades in candied apples, drugs in other food items, and ungodly sacrifices.

“Our Father which is art in heaven hallowed be thy name” (Matt. 6:9). Our Holy Father is the only name to be hallowed (honored, reverenced and consecrated). “That He would grant us unto us, that we being delivered out of the hands of our enemies might serve Him without fear in holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life (Luke 1:74,75).

God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of love, power, and a sound mind. Halloween is set aside to inject fear and to dishonor God. Paul denounced the former practices of the Ephesians because their practices had direct spiritual contact with other gods. Paul’s teaching of Christianity was for one to forsake all other gods and pursue a pure relationship with Jesus Christ as in Acts 19: 24-28.

Gal. 4:9-11 tells us: “But now, after ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and the beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? Ye observe days, and months and times, and years (seasons). I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labor in vain.”

Through the ages, Halloween has had several different names, but all have been tributes to the same dark face, Satan. Tradition tells us that we must give the children candy; it’s just in fun, Jesus Christ, our High Priest, instructs us to commemorate His torn body and the shedding of His blood by communing with Hi as often as we will (1 Cor. 11:25). Cunningly, Satan disguises communion through Halloween party-food items.

“If any of them that believe not, bid you to a feast and ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no questions for conscience sake. But if any man say unto you, this is offered in sacrifice to idols, eat not for his sake that shewed it, for the earth is the Lord’s (1 Cor. 10:27, 28).Infernal culinary

It is not the candy that is demonic or anti-Christian. It is what the
candy, represents. Such participation places a Christian in alliance with occult practices. “What agreement hath temple if God with idols? For ye are the temple of the Living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them, and I will be their God and they shall be my people” (2 Cor. 6:16).

The uninformed Christian has no idea that they are contacting demon spirits, in jest or in seriousness. Every act around Halloween is in honor of false gods which are spirits in the realm of the Satanic. There is scriptural proof that pacts can be made with the realm of darkness.

“We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement…” (Isa. 28:15). Those Hooded Man With Jack-o-Lantern

who have been deeply involved in witchcraft and wo are now free, declare that even those who say they worship spirits of nature are in actuality contacting the Satanic realm, unknowingly. “What say, I then? That the idol is anything, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is anything? But I say, the things which the gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God; and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils, ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord’s table, and of the tables of devils. Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than He?” (1 Cor. 10:19-22).

Why has the Church compromised today? Because if pressures from the world, the church has digressed to a function called All Saints’ Day to appease those who are tenaciously unwillingly to yield to God. Unfortunately, this is a situation that has led to a compromise which closely resembles Catholic practices.

In our research, we found up to forty-three saints to whom homage was paid. These were humans who were said to have been responsible for different miracles; henceforth, they were ratified as saints by the Catholic Church. November 1 was the day set aside to honor them. On “All Hallows Day” or “All Halloween” a feast or a mass was held in the Catholic Church. Each saint had a special day for his commemoration. On the other hand, Pagans pray to the dead. This doctrine opposes the teachings of the Christian church. Catholics are people who love God. My purpose is not to discriminate against the people, but to clarify the Protestant’s, churches that the position of the Protestant churches that consider this a form of idolatry. Let us not confuse ths issue with the people. The disagreements between Catholicism and the Christian church was GOD alone is to receive prayer. As a result, Martin Luther separated himself from Catholicism and established the Protestant movement.

In other research, we went back as far as Babylon where we found people who prayed and honored a plurality of gods. This included up to five thousand gods or goddesses. Babylonians believed in their gods as being once heroes, bur now gods existing on a higher plane.

This religion is the main foundation of our modern day Halloween. The Pagans worship of multi-deities gave birth to serving gods at different times and seasons. Paul addressed this group in the Book of Acts when spoke of the temple of the multi-gods. Paul also mentioned in Galatians about the seasons, time and days.

Paganism is observed in all walks of life in today’s society by teachers and politicians alike, and it can be closely linked with the modern form of witchcraft.

In summary, Halloween, its origin and its foundation, is a religion that literally oppose the doctrine of Christ.

LET US PRAY

cropped-Fotolia_21244357_XS.jpg

Lord, God of Heaven and Earth, who made all things and who is the Father of all creation; I thank You for opening my understanding of spiritual warfare. I acknowledge You as my Heavenly Father. Hallowed is Your Name. I repent of my involvement with Halloween. Since I now understand that this day is not representative of You, nor is it a day for Christian observance; I ask forgiveness through Your Son, Jesus Christ. I also pray forgiveness for my parents, my friends, my teachers, and/or church leaders if they are participating in any of the abominations described in this tract. As I share this tract with others, let it be a blessing to bring many unto salvation and deliverance. Thank you for Your forgiveness and for the enlightenment of Your Holy Word.

In Jesus Name, Amen.
