Strong Delusion

Strong Delusion or Self-deception

2 Chronicles 25:19 One of the delusions that goes with rejection of God is a false confidence in ones’ own powers of understanding. (AMP SB Notes)

As Russia boasts about nuclear missiles the United States cannot stop, the U. S. insists they possess atomic weapons Russia cannot see coming, similar to the stealth missile recently struck in Syria.
The Russian Federation along with The United States of America both seem to have two leaders who are willing to bring the world into a thermonuclear wasteland.

The old prophecy of Zechariah foretold of an event when men’s flesh will decompose while they are still standing.
The Old Testament scribes didn’t have the vocabulary to help make sense of what the plagues of Zechariah 14:12 are, all we know is that a plague of some type will cause human flesh to dissolve instantaneously on the bodies of those who attack Jerusalem.

Zechariah 14:12-13

12 ADONAI will strike all the peoples who made war against Yerushalayim with a plague in which their flesh rots away while they are standing on their feet, their eyes rot away in their sockets, and their tongues rot away in their mouths. 13 When that day comes, there will be among them great panic, sent by ADONAI, so that everyone lays hands on his neighbor, who in turn attacks him.

Even worse than the weapon of the superpowers, the advanced weapons of Russia and the United States are puny against the weapon the God of Israel uses against His enemies.  That weapon is a “Strong Delusion,”(Isaiah 66:4).
When Israel went about to worship the LORD, even though they sacrificed a lamb unto the LORD, their sacrifice was rejected because of their sinful nature.

Black Magician is making ceremony with the beautiful girl.

The Word of God said: “The LORD saw it as if he cut off a dog’s neck and poured swine blood on the altar.” But, one could argue, they were praising God.  Yes, honoring God in a celebration is part of worship, however, disobeying HIS word is a type of a divine delusion.

Isaiah 66:3-4
3 He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog’s neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine’s blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations.
4 I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spoke, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.
(CWSB)

The dilemma here is when Israel went to worship, in their minds they were thinking that by just going to worship and partake in a good devotional ceremony was enough when a change of direction and a truly broken heart over their sins was necessary.

Proverbs 30:12
12 There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.

Proverbs 30:12
12 Don’t imagine yourself to be quite presentable when you haven’t had a bath in weeks.

Doctrine of Devils

What does a blog about war in the Middle East or God sending delusions have to do with anything and why is it important?
It is significant because in the last days there will be those who are spiritually lukewarm and they will bring the pollution of the world into God’s presence. Their contamination could infect those who are honestly seeking God and cause the fall of other believers in the faith.

Some may assume Holy God loves the disobedient children so much that He ignores their rebellious nature and reward them with free tickets into Heaven.  No, the Bible teaches that we can resist God for so long, then there are severe consequences.

2 Thessalonians 2:11-12
11 Therefore God sends upon them a misleading influence, a working of error and a strong delusion to make them believe what is false,
12 In order that all may be judged and condemned who did not believe in [who refused to adhere to, trust in, and rely on] the Truth, but [instead] took pleasure in unrighteousness.

NOTE:  Today, believers all around the world will join with Israel’s 70th year celebration of becoming a nation.

Threat of War

At the same time, Jerusalem Post stated that the Arab-Israeli Conflict, The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps is believed to be planning an attack in retaliation for the alleged Israeli strike on “T4” airbase in Syria last week.

Hezbollah’s war of words telegraphs Iran’s message to Jerusalem.

What does it all mean? It could be the beginning of World War Three and God’s removal of believers before a terrible global nuclear disaster.
We know that in the last days some will rise up and promote perverted doctrines to the people of God and many will fall for it. As Christ came to demonstrate the Word of God before mankind, not all those who heard the Gospel responded to God’s offer.
The cares of this world blinded some. Fame and fortune blinded others. Sadly, some were blinded when they rejected His instructions for eternal life.

The Greek word Demagogism is a term in reference to creating delusions through lies or becoming self-delusional. Demagogism is also Greek for, the art and practice of gaining power and popularity by arousing the emotions, passions, and prejudices of the people.

Jeremiah 5:12-15
12 “They’ve spread lies about God.
They’ve said, ‘There’s nothing to him.
Nothing bad will happen to us,
neither famine nor war will come our way.
13 The prophets are all windbags.
They speak nothing but nonsense.'”
14 Therefore, this is what God said to me, God-of-the-Angel-Armies:
“Because they have talked this way,
they are going to eat those words.
Watch now! I’m putting my words
as fire in your mouth.
And the people are a pile of kindling ready to go up in flames.
15 “Attention! I’m bringing a far-off nation
against you, O house of Israel.”
God’s Decree. (MSG)

Ephesians 4:18-24
18 Their moral understanding is darkened and their reasoning is beclouded. [They are] alienated (estranged, self-banished) from the life of God [with no share in it; this is] because of the ignorance (the want of knowledge and perception, the willful blindness) that is deep-seated in them, due to their hardness of heart [to the insensitiveness of their moral nature].
19 In their spiritual apathy, they have become callous, and past feeling and reckless and have abandoned themselves [a prey] to unbridled sensuality, eager and greedy to indulge in every form of impurity [that their depraved desires may suggest and demand].

24 And put on the new nature (the regenerate self) created in God’s image, [Godlike] in true righteousness and holiness.

Matthew 4:8-10

The time will come, when a siren warning is the announcement of something much more terrifying than a thunderstorm or a tornado – if you get the warning at all.

I plead with the reader of this blog, find someone; (even if you may not like them) but if you see someone who is professing to have a committed Christian life working within them, and is still struggling with sin, tell them about your own personal story of eternal salvation, before it is too late.

Spiritual blindness is the curse of the millions who will say, “I waited too long, and I waited too late.”

Passover 5

Passover 5

Bread of affliction

The bread from Heaven is the Messiah who feed Israel while in the wilderness. Just as in the wilderness Christ will share His body with believers. So when we see the Messiah on the cross, He is dispensing His body to a dying world.

The crushing of the Bread paid for our sins, but the restoring of the Bread mixed the crumbs from gentile nations and Jewish believers into one bread.
Isaiah 35:10 ransomed. Someone who is ransomed is someone who has had a price paid to set him free from captivity. This promise looked forward to the return of the political captives and, in a much fuller sense, to the salvation through Jesus Christ, who gave “His life as a ransom for many” (Mt 20:28; Mk 10:45; 1Ti 2:6).

Because of the Torah Law, the Lord set penal restitution for those who committed crimes against the innocent.

Discovering the Core Values of our Massiah’s

Yeshua’ the Jewish Messiah tough one crowd, saying my family is “Anyone who does God’s will.”
Mark 3:33-35 33 Jesus replied, “Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?”34 Then he looked at those around him and said, “Look, these are my mother and brothers.35 Anyone who does God’s will is my brother and sister and mother.”

Core values are traits or qualities that you consider not just worthwhile, they represent an individual’s or an organization’s highest priorities, deeply held beliefs, and core, fundamental driving forces. They are the heart of what your organization and its employees stand for in the world.
Core values are also known as guiding principles because they form a solid core of who you are, what you believe, and who you are and want to be going forward.https://www.thebalance.com/core-values-are-what-you-believe-1918079

who you are and want to be going
As our Lord walks alongside us, He gently takes us to the next level; by testing the Core Values learn in His teaching.
If our set of Core Values are the same as the Mind of Christ, the trial only turns us into a living stone like our Lord the Rock.

The Rock that comes from Mount Sinai where the Lord set HIS Core Values, The Word of God.

Daniel 2:45
45 That is the meaning of the rock cut from the mountain, though not by human hands, that crushed to pieces the statue of iron, bronze, clay, silver, and gold. The great God was showing the king what will happen in the future. The dream is true, and its meaning is certain.”(NLT)

The set of core Values were set in place by God for the nation of Israel. These sets of Core Values were called Torah Instructions. Torah instructions were much more important than rules and regulations; they were strategies for maneuvering within a spiritual domain where creatures of darkness attach themselves to the Core values of Darkness. Just as necessary as core values are for the building of a set of principles for cooperations, the code for ethical behavior was Torah Law in the beginning.

What was the meaning of what the Prophet Isaiah when he said “an individual will “see what they had not been told,” I believe some people will realize that there has to be more to life than parties, meaningless relationships with sex and alcohol.

Romans 2:12-16 12 When the Gentiles sin, they will be destroyed, even though they never had God’s written law. And the Jews, who do have God’s law, will be judged by that law when they fail to obey it. 13 For merely listening to the law doesn’t make us right with God. It is obeying the law that makes us right in his sight. 14 Even Gentiles, who do not have God’s written law, show that they know his law when they instinctively obey it, even without having heard it.
15 They demonstrate that God’s law is written in their hearts, for their own conscience and thoughts either accuse them or tell them they are doing right. 16 And this is the message I proclaim—that the day is coming when God, through Christ Jesus, will judge everyone’s secret life.

As with my life, I found that after a while the heart hungers for the meaning of life and one’s life purpose. But this type of hunger had nothing to do with freedom and expression or a time discovering who I am; it was more like an invite to know God. While vaguely able to remember anything I heard in Church, there remained a powerful presence seem to follow and nagging me about my immoral lifestyle. So I can totally understand Isiah when he says, “they will see what they had not been told; they will understand what they had not heard about.” (Isaiah 52:15)

It’s that image of Christ on the cross; I have to make sense of it because it calls out to me, It has to mean something. Why must I reconcile its image of a suffering Son of God?

I have witnessed that the Gospel message is changing quicker than the seasons. The power of God has changed to a God that loves without judgment, and the correcting or guidance of the Holy Spirit is out of the Equation. Demons are gone away, and the Devil along with sin has been removed from sermons within the Gospel music industry.

Nevertheless, the God of Israel has reserved a people who value the price of the Oil of the Messiah’s, and the Bread of Affliction our Lord became on our behalf.

Why did Christ pay so much for that Passover feast? Why are these heartbreaking, powerful images apart from the Passover celebration?
Beyond Satan’s expectation Jesus Christ, unfairly take the punishment for the worst sinner and is crush beyond whats necessary. He is beaten beyond recognition. (Isaiah 52:14)

By His Stripes, We are Healed

Isaiah 52:13-15
The Lord Suffering Servant

13 See, my servant will prosper;
he will be highly exalted.
14 But many were amazed when they saw him.
His face was so disfigured he seemed hardly human,
and from his appearance, one would scarcely know he was a man.
15 And he will startle many nations.
Kings will stand speechless in his presence.
For they will see what they had not been told;
they will understand what they had not heard about.
(NLT)
Because Pilate viewed Jesus as innocent, he may have ordered the beating expecting that the Jews would consider it adequate punishment and consent to Jesus’ release. Scourging was a horrific, brutal form of punishment. The glass and metal of the whip tore the body apart, exposing the vital organs. Men frequently died of the scourging. Isaiah 52:10
(Amplified Bible – AMP)

However, the Bible reader’s heart is broken when they realize the cost of the Anointing Oil of the Messiah. Faithful Believers would never allow our Lord to suffer such punishment and continue to obey the Satan.

Isaiah 52:13-15
The Lord’s Suffering Servant
13 See, my servant will prosper;
he will be highly exalted.
14 But many were amazed when they saw him.
His face was so disfigured he seemed hardly human,
and from his appearance, one would scarcely know he was a man.
15 And he will startle many nations.
Kings will stand speechless in his presence.
For they will see what they had not been told;
they will understand what they had not heard about.

Debt canceled but entirely paid

Isaiah 48:16-18 And now the Sovereign Lord and his Spirit
have sent me with this message.
17 This is what the Lord says—
your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:
“I am the Lord your God,
who teaches you what is good for you
and leads you along the paths you should follow.
18 Oh, that you had listened to my commands!
Then you would have had peace flowing like a gentle river
and righteousness rolling over you like waves in the sea.
There are many passages in the New Testament which represent Christ’s sufferings under the idea of a ransom or price, and the result thereby secured is a purchase or redemption (comp. Acts 20:28; 1 Cor 6:19, 20; Gal 3:13; 4:4 5; Eph 1:7 Col 1:14; 1 Tim 2:5 6; Titus 2:14; Heb 9:12; 1 Pet 1:18, 19; Rev 5:9.

The idea running through all these texts, however various their reference, is that of payment made for our redemption. The debt against us is not viewed as simply canceled but is fully paid. Christ’s blood or life, which he surrendered for them, is the “ransom” by which the deliverance of his people from the servitude of sin and from its penal consequences is secured. (Eston’s Bible Dictionary)

A relative must pay the price for redemption. He became one of us, but nothing like us.

גְּאוּלִים Redeemer; Theologically a relative of someone in the same family. Foreigner and Strangers traveling with Israel had to come under the Torah Law system just as non-believers today have to be converted into the life of a God-fearing believer. When we adopt the Word of God for our lives, ADONIA gives us the Holy Spirit as a dedicated administrator guiding us into the truths of the scripture.
A life with Christ is a life in God’s word, where we become a part of the bread of life, bringing nourishment to a dying World.

Know the difference between the converted Children of God and religious smooth talkers and figure out what will please Christ, for yourself

The Message Bible
Ephesians 5:5-13 5 You can be sure that using people or religion or things just for what you can get out of them—the usual variations on idolatry—will get you nowhere, and certainly nowhere near the kingdom of Christ, the kingdom of God.
6 Don’t let yourselves get taken in by religious smooth talk. God gets furious with people who are full of religious sales talk but want nothing to do with him. 7 Don’t even hang around people like that.
8 You groped your way through that murk once, but no longer. You’re out in the open now. The bright light of Christ makes your way plain. So no more stumbling around. Get on with it! 9 The good, the right, the true—these are the actions appropriate for daylight hours. 10 Figure out what will please Christ, and then do it.
11 Don’t waste your time on useless work, mere busywork, the barren pursuits of darkness. Expose these things for the sham they are. 12 It’s a scandal when people waste their lives on things they must do in the darkness where no one will see. 13 Rip the cover off those frauds and see how attractive they look in the light of Christ. H1350. גְּאוּלִים ge’ûliym, גָּאַל gā’al: A verb meaning to redeem or act as a kinsman-redeemer. The word means to act as a redeemer for a deceased kinsman (Ruth 3:13); to redeem or buy back from bondage (Lev. 25:48); to redeem or buy back a kinsman’s possessions (Lev. 25:26); to avenge a kinsman’s murder (Num. 35:19); to redeem an object through a payment (Lev. 27:13). Theologically, this word is used to convey God’s redemption of individuals from spiritual death and His redemption of the nation of Israel from Egyptian bondage and also from exile (see Ex. 6:6). (Complete Word Study Bible)

Proverbs 23:11-14 11 For their redeemer is mighty; he shall plead — their cause with thee.
12 Apply thine heart unto instruction, and thine ears to the words of knowledge.
13 Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die.
14 Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell.

While pulling resources together for last week’s blog, the company where all my websites are maintained informed me that hackers had broken into one of my websites.  As a result, every website under my domain was quarantined to prevent further damage. When our web page was small, those guys weren’t interested in attacking us. We are targeted now, because our reads are over 500,000 and recently we’ve gotten over 1,000 reads a day.
My wife, Pauline and I collaborate to encourage the LORD’s beloved people to stay in the faith and not yield to the subtle voice of compromise. We are aware of Satan’s plans to broadcast his accommodating message of “exaggerated grace” and the “psychology of social love.” Sadly, people who reject the Holy Love of our risen Savior and accept this type of non-committal love deny the power of God’s transformation.
Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. (Rom 12:2 NLT)
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
 (2Co 11:14-15 KJV)

Whenever a website is functioning at its best, malware is always lurking in the background; designed to rob, still, and kill the life of a well-running computer.
The term, “malware” is a conjunction of two English words
mal + ware:  “Malevolent” which means having or showing a wish to do evil to others. (Synonyms: malicious · hostile · evil-minded).
“Ware” which is a combining form extracted from software, occurring as the final element in words that refer to a specified kind or class of software.  The software is the programs and other operating information used by a computer.
This malware or malicious computer program sneaks into networks to cause computers to start performing poorly.  I find the term “malware” as suspiciously resembling Satan’s negative attributes of hiding in the dark while working with destructive intent. For example, Satan sneaked a virus into the Garden although we clearly see a demonstration of our Heavenly Father’s love and trust for His created beings. The LORD gave Adam and Eve the ability to choose, but He lovingly warned them of what tree to avoid.
16 But the LORD God warned him, “You may freely eat the fruit of every tree in the garden–
17 except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If you eat its fruit, you are sure to die.”
 (Gen 2:16-17 NLT)
His only commandment was “do not eat from the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.”  Nonetheless, as Satan prowled in the Garden of Eden, he knew that he only needed to compromise their choices to break the divine relationship between God and Man.  So, he contaminated Eve’s thoughts with a single questioning of the LORD’s command.
Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
Satan tempted Eve with words; “pleasant,” “desirable” and “gods” as if GOD was holding back something from them.  It was to get her to disobey the LORD’s commandment.  Adam took the bait of Satan also and ate the fruit.  Instead of engaging in spiritual warfare against their enemy, Adam and Eve were busy re-assessing what God had said.
Then the LORD God asked the woman, “What have you done?” “The serpent deceived me,” she replied. “That’s why I ate it.” (Gen 3:13 NLT)
In this story, it appears that Satan has dropped Spam-ware or Malware into the minds of Adam and Eve.  The couple was debating between what was Truth – what the Word of God had commanded them – or the seductive words of Satan.
As a disastrous result of Adam and Eve’s disobedience, their off-spring would continually struggle within their flesh the inclination or the propensity to question GOD.
Adam and Eve’s failure to secure the Garden of Eden allowed a type of spam-ware to enter human DNA causing hindrances to their input of Truths found in GOD’s Word.  At the same time, Satan offers people a pseudo-freedom and acceptance of worldly devices. While Satan offers a retreat from righteous living, GOD offers a covenant which involves adoption into His family and eternal Life.
Throughout the rest of man’s history on Earth, he will be faced with critical decisions.  On the one hand, the accommodating voice of Satan; and on the other hand, GOD’s plan of salvation and eternal life by following instructions found in GOD’s Holy Word.
We seldom hear preaching about spiritual warfare or preparing the Body of Christ for the battle against the believer’s minds.
What did Adam and Eve hear from the devil that day?
They may have noticed that Satan’s message was desirable, enticing, and charming.  It sounded better than what God had offered.
On the contrary, GOD’s message seemed to be more restrictive, conditional, and it lacked the glamor of Satan’s words.
Satan will always offer God’s people tokens of comradery.
Unfortunately, another definition of the word is “the quality of affording easy familiarity and sociability.” (Bing’s Dictionary)
We must remember that Satan’s prime directive is to get you to underperform the written Word of GOD.  Many may come teaching that it’s quite acceptable to do less than what Jesus has said because He was talking to people of ancient Biblical days. We must be prayerful that we do not become victims of Satan’s manipulation and deception.
So think clearly and exercise self-control. Look forward to the gracious salvation that will come to you when Jesus Christ is revealed to the world.
 (1Pe 1:13 NLT)

The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, be earnest and disciplined in your prayers.
 (1Pe 4:7 NLT)
8 Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.
9 Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your Christian brothers and sisters all over the world are going through the same kind of suffering you are. (1Pe 5:8-9 NLT)

There is a big difference between people living “born again” Christian lives than people who are just saying they are Christians.

5 They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!
6 They are the kind who work their way into people’s homes and win the confidence of vulnerable women who are burdened with the guilt of sin and controlled by various desires.

Individuals who open spam mail are taking the risk of being redirected to web pages that are filled with other smaller programs that contaminate other user’s computers, then every visitor of that site becomes affected with malware. For this reason, website owners have to hire virus protection agencies to sterilize their system files and hire companies to fight spammers.
Similar to protection agencies, Avinu.info. Accept the responsibility of making your visit as secure as possible. But, what is more, precious than any computer is the incredible power of the mind of a Child of God. The LORD has given us the Bible as a type of antivirus protection. When the Bible is read with a humble heart, God’s message is clear. When we reverence God as we should, He breathes His truth into our hearts.
The frontal lobe of the brain is the place where right and wrong is determined. The Holy Spirit speaks, with such clearly and love, as HE calls us out of darkness into the light of HIS dear Son.
The mind of a believer can see the Word as He intended. The Word of GOD is a living oracle which can keep today’s believers secure in a Godly lifestyle.

Satan’s Deception

The New Age preachers will say, “God is okay with you just as you are. Your sins and lack of development are fine with God.”
8 These teachers oppose the truth just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses. They have depraved minds and a counterfeit faith.
9 But they won’t get away with this for long. Someday everyone will recognize what fools they are, just as with Jannes and Jambres.
(2Ti 3:8-9 NLT)
The Book of John is the Gospel which points out the Divine Characteristics of, Yeshua (the Messiah (Jesus Christ of Nazareth). And John’s Gospel says;
13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future.
14 He will bring me glory by telling you whatever he receives from me.
15 All that belongs to the Father is mine; this is why I said, ‘The Spirit will tell you whatever he receives from me.’ (Joh 16:13-15 NLT)
Again, in the John 14:17
17 He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you. (Joh 14:17 NLT)

For many do not feel conviction while in their sins, and the reason is, that they are disconnected to the Holy Spirit who guides believers through all truth.

Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. (2Ti 2:19 KJV)
16 Avoid worthless, foolish talk that only leads to more godless behavior.
17 This kind of talk spreads like cancer, as in the case of Hymenaeus and Philetus.
18 They have left the path of truth, claiming that the resurrection of the dead has already occurred; in this way, they have turned some people away from the faith.
19 But God’s truth stands firm like a foundation stone with this inscription: “The LORD knows those who are his,” and “All who belong to the LORD must turn away from evil.”
(2Ti 2:16-19 NLT)

It doesn’t matter how the Holy Spirit cover’s the Earth, if bad doctrine is in the heart, that person may never connect to God’s changing power.
When a believer does not maintain this GOD-awareness, behavior that one used to consider as sin sickness  may be misdiagnosed.  This is because malware has placed that individual into a state of apathy or the person has been infected with a paralyzingly fear of being judged.  The person may stop sharing with others what is right and what is wrong. As a result, souls that God had placed in our lives to be harvested have fallen by the wayside and there is no fruit that remain.

As a result, souls that God had placed in our lives to be harvested have fallen by the wayside and there is no fruit that remain.
There are many ways to produce fruit, some by winning others to Christ and others by producing Godly fruit within their own lives.
8 When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father.
9 “I have loved you even as the Father has loved me. Remain in my love.
10 When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. (Joh 15:8-10 NLT)

Praise GOD, in His divine wisdom, our LORD has made provisions for man’s  redemption and restoration.

NLT  Romans 8:1 So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.
2 And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.
3 The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body, God declared an end to sin’s control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins.
4 He did this so that the just requirement of the law would be fully satisfied for us, who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit.
5 Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit.
6 So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.
7 For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God’s laws, and it never will.
8 That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God.
9 But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to him at all.)
10 And Christ lives within you, so even though your body will die because of sin, the Spirit gives you life because you have been made right with God.
11 The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.
12 Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do.
13 For if you live by its dictates, you will die. But if through the power of the Spirit you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature, you will live.
14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. (Rom 8:6-14 NLT)

26 Dear friends, if we deliberately continue sinning after we have received knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice that will cover these sins.
27 There is only the terrible expectation of God’s judgment and the raging fire that will consume his enemies.
28 For anyone who refused to obey the law of Moses was put to death without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.
29 Just think how much worse the punishment will be for those who have trampled on the Son of God, and have treated the blood of the covenant, which made us holy, as if it were common and unholy, and have insulted and disdained the Holy Spirit who brings God’s mercy to us.
30 For we know the one who said, “I will take revenge. I will pay them back.” He also said, “The LORD will judge his own people.”
31 It is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
32 Think back on those early days when you first learned about Christ. Remember how you remained faithful even though it meant terrible suffering.

Leaving Africa

The anointing

As we began our departure from our missionanionting-oil trip in Kakamega, Kenya, Bishop Nicholas of Kakamega, Kenya presented me with the honor of preaching the final day Sunday morning conference message. The closing service consisted of anointing the local ministers and sending them back to their individual cities in Kenya
with a message regarding the subject of “the anointing.”
My spirit rejoiced because I enjoy preaching about the topic of “the anointing.”
First of all, names play a very significant role in Scripture. Names carry the ability to prophesy into a person’s destiny or make a declaration about G-d. For instance, Samuel’s name points to the fact that there is only one G-d and His name is El. El is the oldest name of Adonia. One can find His name in the Hebrew word for “Israel.”
Ish=man, ra=struggled with, el=God.

jacob

The name, Samuel in Hebrew Shemuw’el {sehm-oo-ale’}
Meaning: Samuel = “his name is El” 1) son of Elkanah by his wife Hannah and judge or prophet of Israel during the days of Saul and David.
Samuel was a prophet in Israel.

Yeshua= Adonia is salvation, or Jesus is Salvation.
So, the Jews would pray, ask Adonia to send his Messiah (the anointed one).

NLT Acts 22:16 What are you waiting for? Get up and be baptized. Have your sins washed away by calling on the name of the Lord. “Adonia please send us your  Savior”

Hebrew= Calling on the  “Tzaddik” the Righteous One                                 (Act 22:14 Complete Jewish Bible)

Jewish tradition says that when Jesus told Nathaniel that he was a man of integrity at the location where Andrew introduced them, it was because the Messiah heard Nathaniel’s prayers when he was calling for the Savior of the world.

Prophesy about an anointed Messiah whose mission was to die, seemed harsh, but G-d’s plan was to release the anointing into the  world salvation.
This Scripture provides insight on what Jews knew about the long awaited Messiah and what was supposed to happen to Him for mankind.

25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
(Dan 9:25-26 KJV)

Oil leaves a residue when spread on an object, and this is G-d’s way of demonstrating how His presence would remain with man. So, the oil represents the lingering presence of G-d. One of the individual ingredients of the anointing oil is said to be a plant with special properties, which only gives its fragrance after it is struck with a stone.

Through the Messianic Jewish eyes, they see the Oil of G-d pouring from the battered body of Christ.
מָשַׁח mashach {maw-shakh’} to smear
Meaning: 1) to smear, anoint, spread a liquid 1a) (Qal) 1a1) to smear 1a2) to anoint (as consecration) 1a3) to anoint, consecrate 1b)Fotolia_51441331_XS

Mashach Ben-Daveed translates into the “anointed” offspring of King David.
Mashach Ben-Josef translates into the “anointed” son of Joseph, or the suffering Messiah.

One of the reasons Yeshua (Jesus of Narezeth) is affiliated with the name “Mashach” הַמִּשְׁחָ֔ה, is because His prophetic name means “to smeared with oil.”

CJB 1 Samuel 16:13 Sh’mu’el took the horn of oil and anointed him there in his brothers’ presence. From that day on, the Spirit of ADONAI would fall upon David with power. So Sh’mu’el set out and went to Ramah. (1Sa 16:13 CJB)
We see that the oil consecrated a person into G-d’s service and left G-d’s mark of His presence.

Experience from last two weeks:

Pastor Al Hanonal-hanon
After almost two weeks in Kenya, my heart goes out to the proud community of Kakamega. Bishop Roscoe had prepared the team concerning the hardships faced by the locals to provide the essentials necessary to sustain daily life. With all the preparation there was still a culture shock as I viewed life from an American perspective. The word “traffic” in the USA has a different meaning in this mountainous city. Transportation is limited, and the mostly unpaved roads are crowded with creative vehicles from the motorcycle to the bicycles, carts, and cars.
My purpose in describing the living conditions is not as a put-down but to show the character and strength of a people to rise above adversity. As we arrived at our first worship service, even have heard from Bishop concerning the level of the love and devotion Kenyans have for Jesus,

I was blown away by the awareness of G-d’s presence as they danced and sang to the glory of G-d. As the worship continued, I found myself entering an intimate place of worship usually reserved for my time in the prayer room back home. A sense of weeping as they held nothing back in their expression to Jesus. At breakfast, Bishop warned the team that we will not be the same when we leave this wonderful place half way around the world. I noticed that the change had already begun.

tim-and-tim

Brother Tim –
It’s hard not to have a preconceived notion or expectation before coming on this mission trip. Our mission was pastoral leadership, the orphanage, and a bigger conference. Before coming on the trip, the Lord spoke a word, not about the pastor’s conference nor the conference as a whole, but the word was about the orphan. It blessed me to see that G-d was sincere when G-d said that His eyes are on the orphans, the children. While visiting the orphanage, I noticed that there is such a great need. And I understood a little bit more why His eyes are on His children. His children didn’t have much, but what they did have they were appreciative of and were happy almost forgetful of the situation. Also, what I’ve found is the orphans and including the Kenyan church has a real sincerity of their faith and worship. The orphans memorized verses of scripture and several songs. This blessed me to see people going after G-d in this way. I believe the children and young adults are the next leaders of our churches and business. May the Lord bless this sincerity of faith!

Sister Tim-
Putting these past two weeks into words is not an easy task. I guess one of the many things that I loved about Kenya is the people. The people is what always makes a place home, makes a place special, makes a place unique. In the orphanage, for example, the children there were just so happy. They found it a great honor that Americans would come to their graduation. While we were there, we also prayed for them, and they crowded the front and put their hands up for prayer. As I held each child’s hand one by one, as I prayed for them, they would try to put their hand back into mine for more prayer. Skip to the end of the visit as we were leaving, we presented them with a soccer ball (Football to the rest of the world) and the most joyous cry one could ever hear erupted from the children. They all dove for that ball, I mean they dove for it. In a few minutes, the children were out of sight with the ball. They had never had a real, much less a new, ball before. When you see that, when you see the faces of the people when you know that things don’t improve much from there, it’s hard to put experiences into words.
One thing you will see, though, is that people here won’t be fake. They can’t, they have to rely on each other to survive. They have to ask for help, and they have to be willing to help also. They have to rely on G-d because there isn’t anyone else. If visitors to Kenya and other parts of Africa are open, not only do they have the chance to make a difference here, even if it’s one child at a time, but the people here can make a difference, and teach you a few things also.
